We enjoyed a really great long stay at the farm for Christmas break. We all arrived Christmas afternoon and stayed for five nights - it was such a fun trip full of sweet memories. Thankfully, the new shelter is nearly complete, and we were able to host Christmas supper inside with heaters and a (really big) Christmas tree. Uncle Billy and Uncle Bobby both came, but we missed Uncle Jimmy and Aunt Martha who had to quarantine.
Stellie had a sleepover with Grandpa in the treehouse, which was really special, and the three big kids (Henry, Vivi, and Brigette) slept the last night at the cabin in front of a cozy fire in the living room, snuggled up in sleeping bags. JeeJee made them chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast.
We took a hayride one evening, and had lots of fun singing Christmas carols and cuddling under blankets and a nearly full moon.
Chip took Vivi, Henry, Brigette, and Ellie on an afternoon walk through the woods, and they had a great time building a fort and exploring.
It was really cold Christmas Day, but it warmed up and was sunny the rest of the time, so the kids were able to enjoy a lot of time outdoors!
Marjorie and Texas are continuing to get bigger and have fun together. They will be buddies before too long, although right now they enjoy fussing over the minnie mouse car and other things.
The Sellars also brought over a gigantic bag full of old dance recital costumes, and all the girls had a great time trying them on, and Stellie had them in constant rotation for the rest of our stay!
It was such a fun week that we won’t forget! We are so thankful for the time all the cousins got to spend together, making memories!
